Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is officially opened in Frontierland, despite having operated in soft opening status since September. The attraction marks the second "mountain" at the Magic Kingdom. (It is also the second Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction, following the 1979 opening at Disneyland in California).
